New Script for Domain Names

The organization that controls domain codes for Internet addresses is Voting on whether or not to permit non-Latin language codes for the first time in its history.

The board of directors of the International Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN) will vote on the proposed protocol for Internationalized Domain Names (IDNs,)Friday at its meeting in Seoul, South Korea.

The change, which has a target implementation date of November 16, would allow Web addresses in Cyrillic, Arabic, Hindi, Chinese and others.

I think that this would limit the internet for latin based users who make up the majority of internet patron. Seeing as how english is the most widely spoken language in the worl inter net should remain latin based so that every one will have a universal way to access the internet
